  1. I watched the third period of that game. Brutal.

  2. yeah tell me about it. The Avs haven't been playing very well as of late, which I guess makes you fairly happy

  3. The Av's had a lot of decent movement for flashes in this game (think we can all agree that Svats was awesome)... Every time they start getting it together, someone else gets hurt... But Budaj got it together and had some spectacular saves.

  4. Well yeah, until he took that mind-numbingly bad penalty at the end of the game, The Svats Machine was playing (and is playing) well.

Boots was okay here, not great, not bad. Let's hope Q still gives him the starts

  5. Do you think the Avs can continue to rest their laurels on two subpar goalies? Aside from that, Smyth being out just killed my fantasy!

  6. It does to a degree, but I sort of like the Avs. After all, you have Sakic, which is enough to make me like them on his own, but add Bruno to that mix...I cannot possibly hate, no matter how much it may bite my team in the ass. Bummer about Smyth, but karma is a bitch.

  8. Pucks on Broadway-

I wouldn't call Budaj subpar. He's average, but still a number one. He's not top 5, or 10 but he's in the top 15 goalies in the league. I think he's fine.

    Kirsten,

    Why karma on Smytty?

  9. I'm an Oilers fan in addition to being a Wild fan, so I'm still angry with both Klowe and Smyth for not getting something done. Broke my heart to see him leave.

  10. Yeah, I'll admit they both kinda acted like babies in that whole thing.

Even before the Avs got Smytty, I blamed Lowe a lot more though. (search the Archives and you can find my post where I ripped Lowe).
