BJ's good to the Avs

Ok last BJ headline of the year, since it's the last time the Avs play the Blue Jackets this season. If they meet in the playoffs, all bets are off.

The Avs continue to be the up-and-down team they have been all season. Currently they are on a winning streak, so all is well. Hopefully they can keep it up and the loss of Stastny, Smyth, and Sakic won't catch up to them soon. So far the Avs have been able to tread water despite their losses, but the loss of three dynamic players, such as those three, will take it's toll over time.

Ok i love that NHL.com has pretty good highlights, but holy crap show all the highlights. I didn't get to watch the game last night because it was on the NHL network, which I don't get. I listened to it on XM radio though. Everyone was talking about Theo's save on Rick Nash, and I wanted to see it. I went to NHL.com and they aren't showing it in their highlight package, yet they showed almost 15 routine saves by LeClaire and Theo. Can we see the best save of the night please? Luckily TSN.Ca had it

Posting will be brief and infrequent because of my schedule.

  4. Is there any timeline for Sakic's return, or is he done for the season?

  5. Well Dec 1st was 8-12 weeks, so probably 4-6 more weeks would be my guess

  7. I don't know if I should be proud or ashamed... This thread prompted my first Porn spam comment. (The deleted comment above this)

I just don't know what to say about that

  8. I think it's something to be proud of Jibb. I was particularly impressed with the "up and down" season reference in the first intro paragraph. That's what I call classy brother.

Theo's save was spectacluar, there's no doubt about it. It was also lucky as hell. It was a fantastic pass by Foote. I was impressed with the overhead replay on Altitude that showed his push off with his left leg. Theo commited to sliding over as soon as he saw the pass and he pushed really hard off that left leg. If that was the knee he had scoped then color me impressed.

Kirsten, Sakic should be back. Hernia surgery is like a pulled hamstring in that they are really painfull, hard to play with but have little to no lasting effect. My son and my Dad have had hernia surgeries. My son was done with a small scope through his belly button and he was running around in a week. I think Sakic will be back for the playoff push.

  9. Dear Mr,

I'm an intern with startup widget 1000 and I created a news widget for Colorado Avalanche News.
It's updated every hour with Colorado Avalanche headlines from several different sports websites like ESPN, FOX Yahoo, etc. (Take a look: http://www.widget1000.com/)

Can we add Colorado Avalanche blog to the widget, too? That means that every time you post to your blog the headline of the post will show up on the widget and link directly to your post.
Anyone who puts this widget on their start page or on their website will see your Colorado Avalanche posts too. It's a powerful and free way to publicize your site.

Finally, would you add your Colorado Avalanches News Widget to your site so that others can see it?
Everyone who grabs the widget will automatically link to you so it's great for your search engine rankings. Plus, it shows a lot of stories about Colorado Avalanche and since it's updated every hour it is fresh and will make your site even more appealing than it already is.

    What do you think?

    Go Colorado Avalanche

    Anthony Bremond
